Iranian paintings go on show in New Zealand

TEHRAN -- A collection of paintings by Iranian artist Hedyeh Yusefi is on show in a gallery in Lower Hutt, the Wellington region of New Zealand.
Iran’s ambassador in News Land Majid Tafreshi, the Lower Hutt Mayor Ray Wallace and a group of Iranian and foreign artists attended the opening ceremony.Mayor Wallace expressed his thanks to the News Land and Iran Friendship Association (NIFA) as organizer of the event and talked about the high influence of Iran in development of the world’s culture and history.
He also said that his country is ready to reinforce bilateral relationship.
Iran’s ambassador Tafreshi next pointed to the value of art and culture in Iran and the active role of Iranian women in promotion of art.
He said that Iran is ready to help strengthen friendship between the two nations.
A selection of Persian handicrafts is also on the show which will run for four days
